Ar. Weng Soon commenced his architectural career at Choo Gim Wah Architect in Kuala Lumpur in 2010. During this time, he played a pivotal role in designing and overseeing luxury bungalow projects in Janda Baik and Glenmarie Subang Jaya. In 2012, he transitioned to Akitek Akiprima, where he contributed significantly to projects like the OSK Atria Damansara, involving a 6-storey Shopping Gallery and two 14-storey office towers, as well as the Queensville development in Bandar Sri Permaisuri, which encompassed a 4-storey retail complex, four 8-storey office towers, a 4-storey shopping mall, and a five-block, 31-storey service apartment project in phases.

In 2017, Ar. Weng Soon returned to Penang’s Akitek Akiprima, assuming the role of a Project Architect. He took charge of the OSK Yarra Park Sungai Petani township development spanning Precincts 1-8, which encompassed various residential types like bungalows, semi-detached houses, terrace houses, and Lotus’s Malaysia at Bandar Puteri Jaya. He also contributed to the Sunway Onsen Suite Service Apartment project, consisting of 252 units in Sunway City Ipoh, and the M Summit Scots Pavilion, a 22-storey condominium development. Notably, he successfully supervised the construction of the Penang Double Tree Hotel as a Project Manager, showcasing his expertise in hotel construction projects.
